I am preparing for a nature based vision quest. I will go out in the woods for three days to meditate. The main focus will be how I can support my son and daughter, how people can support me and thus how I can support the human race.

Peatwatuck, to me the hardest thing is to first decide what kind of support you need AND then to ask for it. There are so many ways to support. You can support with prayer, you can support with food, love, or by meeting physical needs, emotional needs, spiritual needs. If you identify how you would like to be supported by me, I volunteer. By asking others for help, you are only clarifying to yourself what you want to attract. But we are already here for you. All the support you need is already with you. You are loved, you are love.

ReplyDeleteIn the video bar above there was a funny bit about an internet help support person and how unsupportive it really was. My thought is in order to have openings for support from valuable sources you have to clear out the unsupportive people and or things in your life that just take up space and time. The phrase " you are either for me or against me " comes to mind. If I am in a fox hole I want to know which you are.....

I watched the funny internet bit - very timely for your post about support. I like your idea of clearing out the unsupportive people and things in our lives in order to be open to support from valuable resources. Clearing out and letting go is such a freeing feeling. I support your process as you seek the changes in your life that will bring you more freedom and support.
Thanks for posting your thoughts as you draw closer to your quest. We're all here to support you in whatever way we can.

My prayer for you is that you will be open and receptive to the constant stream of support and positive energy that is already flowing into your life everyday from those who know and love you. My prayer is that you will easily find the stillness and peace to accept all the love and support that surrounds you!

Ask for support, and you likely get support. Don't ask for support, and you likely don't get support.
ReplyDeleteI will support you in absolutely anything, it's just easier if you ask :) And you can support me by sharing your vision.
I find myself not asking for support, because it often seems easier to do something on my own. I need help learning when I need support.

ReplyDeleteOne form of prayer is an appeal for support.
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
I think this applies to asking people for support also. Just asking opens up unlimited possibilities for support.
Here is a suggestion for your blog. Maybe you have already done this. When I signed up as a follower I was able to email this blog info and your visionquest support request to other people. I sent it to some people I know love you and would love to support you in any way they could.
Did you email this information out to everyone in the EarthTribe? and other friends? If not, can I help you do that? Do you have everyone's email address? Let me know if I can help in that regard.
Also if there is anything specific you need I am willing to help before-during-after the VQ.
I pray you recognize how worthy and deserving of support you are Jack. You are like the tree with deep roots planted by the river of life. Your intelligience, industriousness and generous spirit spreads like the leaves of a great tree - giving shade,shelter, healing and fruit to many people. I would consider it an honor to support you, as I think many people would.
I am confident you will receive ALL things that you ask for on the VQ.
